Do Not Sell Link
What it is
Adds a “Do Not Sell” action to the banner that takes visitors to your site’s dedicated Do Not Sell / Do Not Sell or Share page so they can exercise the CCPA/CPRA opt-out.
A Do Not Sell/Share page is the place where U.S. visitors—especially Californians under CCPA/CPRA—can opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including use for cross-context behavioral advertising. It should give a fast, unambiguous way to exercise that right and explain what happens next.
How it works
- When visible, the banner renders a button/link (label defaults to “Do Not Sell”).
- Clicking it navigates to the URL you set (your opt-out page or form).
- This click does not set consent or opt-out automatically—it simply opens your page where the user completes the request.
Troubleshooting
- The link doesn’t show; Confirm Do Not Sell is toggled on under Configuration → Consent and that it is enabled for your region (Geolocation rules — for example CCPA/US), and that a target URL has been set.
- It opens the wrong page; Check the configured URL (and the language you’re previewing)
- Text won’t translate; Add the label for each enabled language
