Where is my App-ID and Secret Key?

In v3, the Cookie Compliance for WordPress plugin connects to the platform automatically during the onboarding flow. Manual App ID and App Secret Key entry is only needed for multisite installs, reconnection scenarios, or if you signed up with Google (the plugin signs in with an email and password, so copy your App ID and App Secret Key from the Admin Portal instead).

Primary path: automatic connection via WelcomeModal

1. Install and activate the Cookie Compliance for WordPress plugin in WordPress.
2. The WelcomeModal opens automatically on first activation.
3. Complete the three-step flow: Choose Protection → Confirm → Create Account (or sign in).
4. The plugin connects to the platform and the React admin opens with the Overview, Cookie Consent, Privacy Consent, and Consent Logs tabs.

No manual credential entry is required for new single-site installs.

Fallback: manual App-ID and Secret Key entry

If you need to reconnect an existing site, connect a multisite network subsite, or the automatic flow did not complete:

1. Go to the Account page in the Cookie Compliance dashboard.
2. In the Domains table, click the 3-dot icon next to your domain URL and select Edit. The Edit Domain window opens.
3. Your App ID and App Secret Key are at the bottom of the Edit Domain window.
4. In WordPress admin, open Compliance.
5. If the site is not connected yet: on the Overview tab, paste the App ID into App ID and the App Secret Key into App Secret Key, then click Connect Your Site.
6. If the site is already connected (for example, to reconnect it): in the Domain Info card, paste the App ID into App ID and the App Secret Key into App Secret Key, then click Save and Connect. (Classic screen: the App ID and App Secret Key fields, then Save Changes.)

Once connected, configure your banner through the WordPress admin’s Overview and Cookie Consent tabs, or via the Cookie Compliance dashboard at app.hu-manity.co. To publish changes made in the portal, click Publish Now from the Configuration page.
