Adding a Domain

By creating an account you have already added your first website. In Cookie Compliance you can add and manage as many domains as you want.

Step 1 – Domain information

To add another domain click the Add Domain button at the top of any Cookie Compliance screen. The modal window + Add Domain will open.

Enter the Domain URL, Website Name, and optional Website Description. You can also specify the initial banner configuration for this website — select one of your existing domains to copy its configuration, or leave Default to apply the standard options. A new domain starts on the new banner engine; you can switch engines later under Configuration → Design → Banner engine. Once you have entered and verified the data, click Next.

Step 2 – Domain subscription plan

Choose the plan for the new domain:

• Free plan – limited access to functionality
• Professional plan (paid) – full access to all functionality

To keep the new domain on the Free plan, close the plan window. The domain has already been added on Free.

If you choose the Professional plan, use the Select plan tab. Professional pricing starts at $14.95/month for one domain, with multi-domain options available:

• 1 domain – $14.95/month
• 5 domains – $29.95/month
• 10 domains – $49.95/month

Now decide how you want to pay:

• Pay monthly – billed each month at the rates above
• Pay annually – save 17% compared to monthly billing
• Use a license (its own tab) – assign this domain to an existing subscription (no new purchase required; available when you already hold at least one active subscription)

If you choose monthly or annual billing, choose the payment gateway – Braintree (credit card or PayPal) or Stripe (card) – and follow the instructions. Once you have entered your payment information, click Submit (or Subscribe Now if you chose Stripe).

After completing all steps you will see a confirmation screen with your domain ID and key information.

After adding a domain in the portal, connect it to your website:

WordPress Sites

1. Install and activate the Cookie Compliance for WordPress plugin from the WordPress plugin directory.
2. Go to WP Admin → Compliance. The WelcomeModal opens automatically.
3. Sign in with the same account you used to add the domain. The plugin auto-detects your domain and connects.
4. Your banner begins appearing on your site immediately after setup completes.

Non-WordPress Sites (Manual Embed)

1. In the portal, go to Integrations in the left sidebar.
2. Copy the generated JavaScript snippet.
3. Paste it at the top of your site’s <head>  tag, before any analytics or advertising scripts.

A domain you add with Add domain is published and set to Active as soon as you create it, so the snippet serves a banner right away. Once connected, adjust your banner on the portal’s Configuration page and click Publish Now after each later change to push it live. If the first publish did not complete, Publish Now on Configuration recovers it.
