React Admin Overview

Overview

This article is for connected users (Free and Professional plans). The Compliance by Hu-manity.co WordPress plugin includes a React-based admin interface. After connecting your site, navigate to Compliance (top-level menu) in your WordPress dashboard to access it.

The admin interface is organized into three tabs: Protection (default), Settings, and Audit Trail.

Protection Tab

The Protection tab is the default landing page for connected users. It provides an at-a-glance view of your site’s compliance posture and quick access to consent mode configuration.

Dashboard Header

Displays “Your Compliance Dashboard” with a dynamic subtitle that highlights the most important action needed — for example, “No regulations selected,” “Autoblocking disabled,” or “All protections active.” Professional plan users see a Pro badge.

First-Run Setup Wizard

After connecting for the first time, a 3-step inline wizard appears:

1. Template — pick a banner style from the available presets
2. Laws — select which privacy regulations apply to your site
3. Languages — add additional banner languages

You can skip steps and return later. Click Apply & Finish to dismiss the wizard. A notice above the wizard also reports how many trackers were detected on your site.

Status Cards

Three summary cards showing your current configuration:

1. Banner — active template name with a thumbnail preview, position and display type. Actions: Change template, Edit colors & text (opens portal), Preview (opens your site with the banner visible).
2. Laws & Languages — count of active regulations with flag-emoji pills and language count. Actions: Edit laws (opens inline law selector), Manage Languages (opens portal).
3. Trackers & Consent Modes — tracker count with categorization status and active consent mode pills. Shows an amber warning if autoblocking is off or uncategorized trackers are firing without consent. Actions: Consent modes, View Trackers, Manage in portal.

Consent Protection Settings

Opens as an inline panel from Status Card 3 (titled Consent Protection Settings). The panel has two sections — Platform Integrations and Browser Signals:

• Google Consent Mode v2 (Free) — sends ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization signals
• Facebook (Meta) Consent Mode (Pro) — sends consent level signal to Meta Pixel
• Microsoft Consent Mode (Pro) — sends ad_storage, analytics_storage, Pixie, and Clarity signals
• Global Privacy Control (GPC) (Free) — honors browser GPC signal as opt-out
• Do Not Track (Free) — honors browser DNT signal

Pro-only modes (Facebook, Microsoft) show a Pro badge on the Free plan with an upgrade prompt.

Tracker Status Panel

Opens from Status Card 3 (replaces the cards while open). A read-only view of all detected script providers on your site, grouped by purpose category: Basic Operations, Content Personalization, Site Optimization, Ad Personalization, and Uncategorized (scripts firing without consent, shown with a red warning badge).

Click Refresh to re-sync the tracker list. To add, edit, or recategorize providers, click Manage trackers in portal.

Inline Notices

Contextual notices appear when relevant:

• “Your banner is live” (green) — shown once after completing setup
• “Still missing: ...” (blue) — lists items needing attention (banner template, laws, uncategorized trackers)
• “Google tools detected” (yellow) — appears when Google scripts are found but Google Consent Mode is not enabled

Threat Intelligence

Security and compliance alerts at the bottom of the tab — for example, warnings about Google Ads scripts detected without Google Consent Mode enabled.

Settings Tab

For connected users, the Settings tab has three areas: Status Cards, Compliance Behavior, and WordPress Settings.

Status Cards

The same 3-card grid from the Protection tab (Banner, Laws & Languages, Trackers & Consent Modes). The Trackers card reacts live to autoblocking changes in Compliance Behavior below. Clicking card actions opens the same inline panels (banner wizard, law selector, consent modes).

Compliance Behavior

A grid of law-aware setting cards that adapts based on the regulations you’ve selected. Each card shows its current value with a color-coded compliance status dot (green = compliant, yellow = warning, red = critical) and which laws require it. The 9 settings are: Autoblocking, Accept on scroll, Accept on click, Accept on close, Refuse button, Revoke consent, GPC support, Consent expiry, and Cookie wall. Settings managed in the portal show a Manage in web app → link.

WordPress Settings (Plugin Options)

Below Compliance Behavior, accordion sections for connected users:

• Privacy Policy — enable a privacy policy link in the banner. Choose between a WordPress page or a custom URL. Optionally sync with the WordPress Privacy Page setting.
• Custom Scripts — add JavaScript to the page head or body that executes based on consent state (toggle between Head and Body tabs).
• Display & Animation — banner opacity slider (50–100%) and a custom CSS class field for the accept button.
• Technical Settings — bot detection (on by default), AMP support, caching compatibility (on by default), debug mode, excluded script handles (one WP handle per line, never autoblocked), conditional display rule builder (show/hide banner on specific pages, post types, taxonomies, or user types), delete data on deactivation, and a Purge Cache button to force re-fetch from the portal.

Audit Trail Tab

View and export consent records for your site.

Consent Stats

A breakdown bar showing total consents, personalized, balanced, and private counts. Consent level names reflect your custom labels configured in the portal.

Consent Log Table

Paginated consent records showing Consent ID, Consent Level (pill badge), Categories, Date/Time, and IP Address (masked).

• Free plan: 7-day retention window
• Professional plan: long-term retention with date-range queries up to 90 days at a time

Compliance Evidence

Automated compliance checks in three tabs:

• GDPR (Free + Pro) — consent banner, cookie categorization, data retention, DPO contact
• CCPA (Free + Pro) — GPC/Do Not Sell signal, opt-out mechanism, privacy policy link, consumer rights request handling
• ePrivacy (Pro only) — prior consent, consent withdrawal, cookie lifetime disclosure, legitimate interest

Each check shows: green checkmark (pass), yellow triangle (warning), red circle (fail), or gray dash (manual verification required).

Export

Professional plan users can export consent logs as CSV from the sidebar. Free plan users see a limited export with an upgrade prompt.

Note: The Audit Trail tab shows cookie consent logs only. Privacy consent logs (form-based consent) are available in the Admin Portal at app.hu-manity.co → Consent Logs → Privacy Consent.

Navigating Between Tabs

Click the tab labels at the top of the admin page to switch between Protection, Settings, and Audit Trail. You can also link directly to a tab using URL fragments:

Sidebar

The sidebar (right column) shows:

• Domain Info Card — your domain name, connection status, and a Pull Configuration button to sync the latest settings from the portal.
• Upgrade prompt (Free plan only) — a call-to-action to upgrade to the Professional plan.
